Ken Moore - SIRP Program Manager

Ken Moore began work as the SIRP Program Manager on 16 June. Over the last ten years, Ken has been researching and writing prolifically on future directions for agriculture and natural resource management (NRM), including water.

In past lives, he was an Executive Director with Agriculture WA and an Assistant Secretary with the Commonwealth Department of Primary Industries and Energy. In the mid and late 1980s, he was involved in the development of policy that established the rural R&D arrangements.

Ken owns a farm in tall karri country in Northcliffe, WA (western South Coast). Utilising his experience in NRM and social issues, Ken led the drive for an information and visitor centre for his local community, which is also a gateway to a world-class forest-sculpture trail.

Lynne Sealie - SIRP Knowledge Broker

Lynne's job is to develop and implement strategies for communicating SIRP's research and informing policy and planning audiences.

Previously, Lynne was the Communication Manager for the Cooperative Research Centre for Freshwater Ecology and a Senior Communicator with CSIRO. She has experience in agriculture, adult and international education and marketing, and science communication.

Lynne is keen to talk to SIRP researchers, collaborators and audience, so if you have any queries or suggestions, please contact her.

Laura Harris - Program Officer

Laura is the longest serving member of the SIRP team, having joined Land & Water Australia as the SIRP Program Officer in January 2007. Laura administers and monitors the research contracts, milestones, variations and budgets, and is often the first point of contact for SIRP's external colleagues.

Laura emigrated from the UK to Australia in November 2006. She has a degree in Archaeology from Durham University, and prior to her move she was based in London, working as a Production Manager for a radio production company.
