NTU7 - Sustainable northern landscapes & the nexus with indigenous health

One of the most important projects supported by Land & Water Australia focuses on the relationship between Indigenous health in the Northern Territory and the connection this has with the land. Conducted over a period of three years by practitioners in a number of fields including health, economics and natural resource management the results of this work are intriguing.

The first forum to consider the implications of these findings was held by Land & Water Australia and Department of Environment and Water Resources in June. It brought together a number of relevant departments and stakeholders to discuss the latest research in this area with key researchers Stephen Garnett, Paul Burgess and Dean Yibarbuk.
